CJMCU 7 Bit WS2812 5050 RGB LED Built-in Full-Color Driving Lights comes in a form of ring consisting of 7 individually addressable RGB LEDs based on popular WS2812 chip in 5050 standard. The board is equipped with two mounting holes. To operate the module it is enough to use only one microcontroller pin, e.g.Arduino or Raspberry Pi module. Outside diameter of the circle is 23 mm. The ring is powered by 5 V. Each diode consumes up to18 mA of current, which in this case gives a total value of about 130 mA. The communication protocol used allows the diodes to be connected in series. The next chain should be connected to the output connector, connecting respectively 5V, GND and DOUT with DIN.
Connecting the RGB LED ring
The module is equipped with four pins. For proper operation it is enough to use one microcontroller pin. The device allows for serial connection of more modules.
- GND- ground of the module
- 5 V- supply voltage, 18 mA current per one diode
- Data IN- digital control signal from the microcontroller
- Data OUT- output for connecting another ring
